About Me
Nicole R. Dorey is faculty at the University of Florida where she teaches courses in psychology and animal behavior. In addition to her teaching, Dr. Dorey is founder of the Animalia lab where she mentors students in designing and publishing research. Her research focuses on how humans and non-human animals behave and interact, and what factors influence the behavior and success of individuals in applied contexts. Dr. Dorey’s research has gained the attention of several media outlets, including Discovery News, Science Daily, and New Scientist. She also has consulted on animal research and animal training at a variety of shelters, zoos and aquariums.
